Entry Fee
- Tournament fee – $300.00 PER BOAT (includes 4 angler shirts and promotional items) for Blue Water Homeowners Only – guaranteed if pre- ordered only.
- Additional $50 fee for each additional angler after the 4th.

Registration
All entries must be received by 9 PM at the Captain’s Meeting to be eligible for the tournament. Late entries will not be eligible for prizes/awards. Teams, Boats, and Anglers must be set and will not be able to be changed after the Captain’s Meeting.
Eligible Participants
All Blue Water Homeowners, friends, and families. Each registered boat must have at least one (1) Blue Water Homeowner.
Eligible Fish
Dolphin only
*Wahoo, Kingfish and/or Tuna (Yellowfin, Bluefin, Blackfin) will be eligible for Calcutta Prize, if available/applicable.
Fishing Hours
Departure is flexible, may depart at any time from any marina on Saturday (day of the tournament). Lines in at 7:00 AM. Fish weigh-in will be from 2pm to 4pm by boat or car. Any fish not presented at the weigh-in location by 4:00 PM will not be eligible for competition nor prize.
Weigh Station
181 Burgundy Drive is the official weigh-station. All fish must be brought to the weigh station by the captain or a registered angler. You may come by boat. All fish presented for weigh-in must be legal size, fresh, whole & unmutilated condition. Tails will be cut after being weighed by judge. Weigh-in judges’ decision is final. In case of a tie, first in will be deemed the winner. All are welcome!
Bait
No restrictions (live bait is acceptable).
Tackle
All fish must be caught on rod and reel. Wire lines are permitted. Electric fishing reels permitted.
Anglers Per Boat
Entry fee covers four (4) anglers per boat. Limit on boat is up to Captain’s discretion and safety regulations.
Charters
No Charters nor Chartered boats will be considered for prizes nor competition.
Weather
This is a captain’s choice tournament and as such all captains and team members are advised to monitor all weather conditions and should proceed based on if they deem their craft seaworthy. Captains should put the safety of their team as a priority. In the event of un-safe boating conditions, the tournament committee may choose to reschedule the tournament for a later date which will be discussed at the Captain’s Meeting.
Awards
Total weight of 3 heaviest fish per boat.
- First Prize: TBD at Captain’s Meeting and Trophy
- Junior Angler (15 years or younger) Prize: TBD at Captain’s Meeting and Trophy
- Lady Angler Prize: TBD at Captain’s Meeting and Trophy
Miscellaneous. Prize money depends on the number of boats entered. Captain or representative must be present at time of presentation to win award.
Communications
VHF Channel 68 should be monitored (can be changed at Captain’s Meetings)

All participants in this fishing tournament understand that the activities undertaken at the fishing tournament are undertaken entirely at their own risk. All participants agree that they will not hold Blue Water Homeowners Association liable or responsible for any injury, loss or damage that occurs at or as a result of the fishing tournament. All participants acknowledge that the organizers of this fishing tournament and Blue Water Homeowners Association DO NOT direct, control, supervise or monitor the fishing activity on each individual vessel. All participants accept that the organizers and Blue Water Homeowners Association are in no way liable or responsible for the how the specific fishing activities on each vessel are conducted. By signing this form or participating in the tournament you acknowledge and accept these rules.
